Published by Ralph Ginzburg from January 1968 through July 1971, Avant Garde’s 14 issues were popular in design circles for their erotic imagery, political commentary and cohesive aesthetic which included the font (designed by Herb Lubalin) which was originally intended for use solely in the magazine, but was later released as a commercial font. This Magazine has the best graphics, and makes a happy home on any coffee table. We use them alot as props anytime we have photoshoots.
